Athene Training Internship-Summer 2024 in West Des Moines, Iowa

Internships will run from mid-May to early August

These are in-office internships at our West Des Moines located at 7700 Mills Civic Parkway.

Interviews and hiring decisions expect to be completed prior to mid-November, with some being completed as early as late September.


  • Intern is expected to work independently and will be responsible for ownership of their portion of a project once they have been trained

  • Intern is encouraged to add value and provide recommendations for improvements to processes and systems by applying their experience and knowledge

  • Intern will maintain a log evaluating each project assigned and prepare an evaluation of the experience to improve the quality of future projects

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Entering Junior or Senior (3rd or 4th) year in the Fall of 2024

  • Pursuing a degree in Education, Graphic Design, Communications or other related areas

  • Well-rounded and self-motivated

  • Significant experience using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word

  • Proficient communication and organizational skills

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and a proactive approach to accomplishing tasks


  • Ideal candidate has curriculum development experience in learning methodology and curriculum design

  • eLearning development experience

  • Experience utilizing authoring tools such as Articulate, Captivate, Photoshop, Vyond , and Video/Audio Production
