GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Non-Exam Track Actuarial Intern will work with the Pricing and Product actuarial team on their in-force modeling team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Non-Exam Track Actuarial Intern will work on some or all of the following:
Generate and review large scale expected calculations to be used for testing accuracy of administrative software changes or new product implementation using SQL.
Perform impact analysis of in-force business initiatives such as rate changes or opportunity cost.
Collaborate cross-departmentally with data management and IT departments.
Ensures timely and accurate reporting, validation and analysis of assigned work.
Performs other related work as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in data science or related field of study.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, PROFESSIONAL DESIGNATIONS:
