Athene Actuarial Internship-Summer 2025 in West Des Moines, Iowa

Internships will run from mid-May to early August

These are in-office internships at our West Des Moines located at 7700 Mills Civic Parkway.

Interviews and hiring decisions expect to be completed prior to mid-November, with some being completed as early as late September.

Accountabilities:

Key goals of the internship include an introduction to full time actuarial responsibilities and development of a broad understanding of the company’s various actuarial functions. Interns will support the actuarial staff by performing tasks that contribute to the company’s key objectives and decision-making processes.

Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Pursuit of four-year degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics,

    computer science, finance or other related field required. 2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 3. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and effectively meet

    deadlines. 4. Strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to develop

    effective working relationships. 5. Commitment to actuarial exam process and attainment of FSA designation. 6. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, computer programming and/or

    actuarial modeling software preferable.
