Iowa Employer Conservation Internship in WATERLOO, Iowa

Internship designed to provide professional development opportunities to young adults interested in pursuing careers in environmental stewardship and community resiliency. Daily activities include park maintenance, trail maintenance, working with your hands, working on fence lines, raking/trimming/mowing, etc. All job activities are designed to develop work skills, interpersonal skills, and help the intern develop a career pathway. Minimum of five hours per week will be designated for career pathway and career advancement preparation. Interns will work in a variety of weather conditions including extreme temperatures, high winds, intense sunshine, and rain. Interns will be visible to the public, including young children, during work hours and are expected to be professional. Position is grant funded.Start Date: Mid-end of May 2019 End Date: Mid-end of August 2019Qualifications:18 years old - 24 years oldAbility to pass a criminal background check
