Our functions include working with various third parties to develop, integrate, and support insurance systems of WRBC's operating units. BTS strives to provide these functions in a holistic manner including helpdesk support, system connectivity, and operational support. Additional responsibilities include coordinating communications regarding best practices in the use of our supported systems and researching new technology. The Internship program provides highly motivated and qualified students an opportunity to gain first-hand experience, receive valuable on-the-job training, and heighten business knowledge. Students will collaborate side by side with BTS employees in a variety of positions to complete challenging projects. Students will interact with all levels of management and senior leaders, and gain insight into business and technology in the insurance industry.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Runs monthly resource capacity and project portfolio reports.

  • Analyze monthly reports and communicate findings to Team Lead.

  • Participates in the updates of the IT Portfolio Management Tool for 2022 budget cycle.

  • Participates in cross-team coordination to maintain resource data.

  • Participates in applicable team meetings, cross-team meet and greets/job shadowing.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Participation in extracurricular and leadership activities.

  • Registered undergraduate student with a preferred overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • MS Excel experience preferred.

  • Completion of sophomore or junior year preferred.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods of time.

  • May occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
