Summer Employment Opportunities - Mowers

8 hours per day- Monday through Friday; 7am - 3:30pm

No Holidays

General Qualifications:

• Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older

• Must have valid driver's license

• Is consistently at work and on time

• Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds

• Ability to clean up work area

• Must observe all school district safety, P.P.E., and security procedures

Mower Qualifications:

• Ability to work outside in cold, hot, and/or wet conditions

• Ability to drive a pickup and pull a trailer

• Ability to operate zero turning radius mowers

• Ability to operate tractors with mowing decks or any other grounds equipment

• Ability to perform daily maintenance on all the grounds equipment

• May assist other departments when needed

Working Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch; or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Employee is required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
