Temporary - Summer 2021- not to exceed 4 months.This position is seasonal, typically summer, responsible for a variety of duties including cutting brush, machine maintenance, and numerous other duties under the direct authority of County Engineer and Secondary Roads Foreman.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:The following duties are typical for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive.Other duties may be required and assigned.Positions available at various Woodbury County Secondary Roads Maintenance sheds: Moville, Correctionville, Oto and Hornick, IowaPosition typically during summerThe position includes responsible for a variety of duties including cutting brush, machine maintenance and numerous other duties under the director of County Engineer and Secondary Roads Foreman.Must be able to furnish and wear safety shoes while performing job duties.Attendance is requiredNon-Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesProvides assistance with a variety of duties within the scope of responsibility assigned by County Engineer Secondary Roads ForemanRequired QualificationsMinimum Education and Experience Required to Perform Essential Functions:Minimum 18 years of age, previous experience desiredPossession of a current valid driver's license and insuranceAbility to routinely lift 40 poundsMust be able to furnish and wear safety shoes while performing job duties.Perform physical labor in all types of weather conditions and be exposed to dust, fumes and loud noises.Ability to follow written and oral instructionsAbility to communicate successfully with the public in clearly spoken EnglishCandidate for hire must successfully pass a background check , a physical examination, back screen and drug screen prior to employment.ALL REQUIRED DOCUMENTS MUST BE SUBMITTED WITH THE APPLICATION OTHERWISE THE APPLICATION WILL NOT BE FORWARDED.Woodbury County application is required.Woodbury County is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
