Perdue Farms, Inc. Control Systems Analyst Intern in Sioux Center, Iowa

Responsible for the management of planning and designing control systems. This includes programming, implementation, testing, and documentation of automated control systems. The Control Systems Analyst is responsible for monitoring the quality and setting of standards of programming, implementation, testing, and documentation of a control system.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Programming, implementation, testing, and documentation of a control system which may include programming of one or more parts of the control system. This would include advanced programming of the PLC, and/or the HMI (Human Machine Interface), and/or databases

  • Configuration, installation, and troubleshooting of PC/PLC hardware and software, and networks

  • In-plant operator training for the control system

  • Performs technical design and helps in estimating on assigned projects

  • Familiar with DAQ from PLC to SQL database

  • Available for after-hours support

  • Other duties as applicable as necessary

Minimum Education

high school diploma or college degree.

Experience Requirements

Experience Preferred

  • Advanced knowledge of programming in several PC/PLC languages is a plus

  • SQL experience is a plus

  • IT knowledge is helpful

  • Experience in Control System checkout, commissioning, and system startup

  • Experience in Control System data collection, reporting, and integrated information systems

  • Must be willing to travel to other Manufacturing sites
