Raytheon Technologies Data Manager Intern (Summer 2023) (Remote) in Remote City, Iowa

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop a Data Catalog for all CAS data assets and continually update and refresh with appropriate business, technical and operational metadata.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively share findings with stakeholders

  • A solid understanding of data sources, data organization and storage

  • Using data mining to extract information from data sets and identify correlations and patterns

  • Ability to compile and organize findings and data retrieved before presenting it to management

  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and organize large amounts of data

  • Communicating with stakeholders to understand data content, business requirements, and convey to other teams effectively

  • Secure and protect company and customer data

  • Assist with problem-solving errors and identifying solutions

  • Optimize workflows and identify process efficiencies

  • Facilitate with multiple teams to accomplish tasks

  • Research and properly evaluate sources of information to determine possible limitations in reliability or usability

  • Strong computer skills and ability to use necessary databases and software

  • Demonstrate relationship building skills and the ability to influence others in all directions of the organization with exceptional communication to accomplish our objectives

  • Provide oversight and strategy execution of Data Governance and Data Quality framework consistent with the organization's goals and objectives

  • Fully understand Global/Regional Data Policy requirements to implement/execute Data Governance framework

  • Capture business requirements and translate to technical requirements

Qualifications / Required Skills:

  • Highly collaborative team player with demonstrated ability to be flexible, diplomatic, persistent and energetic. Comfortable with ambiguity, open to change, working in a fast-paced and fluid environment. Able to navigate and be successful in both “start-up” and established, larger company environments.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, problem solving, leadership skills, relationship building.

  • Demonstrate relationship building skills and the ability to influence others in all directions of the organization with exceptional communication to accomplish our objectives

Basic Qualifications

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
