The IT Office 365 Analyst Intern helps with all things Office 365 related. This may include helping migrate SharePoint on prem to SharePoint online, Microsoft Teams issues and user adoption. This position may also research and assist with deployment of new 365 applications such as Delve, Flow, Planner, Sway, Power BI, PowerApps, etc.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Demonstrate the Vermeer characteristics of caring culture, demonstrating agility, customer focused, and stewardship and model the associated behaviors.
Partner with business and technology partners to elicit, analyze, translate, and document business requirements into technical requirements.
Analyze, document, and test program development, logic, process flows, and specifications.
Help create and maintain an operating plan to achieve the strategic vision and operating platform that defines the people, processes, tools, and technology (alignment to center of excellence).
Promote user adoption and user experience through training, consultation, and support of existing functionality.
Assist with business partners to conduct user acceptance testing.
Document user manuals to describe application installation and operating procedures.
Education and/or Experience
High School diploma required.
Current student pursing a Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science.
Previous internship is a plus.
Other Skills and Abilities
Able to understand business functionality and translate it into application requirements.
Working knowledge and understanding of enterprise, client and web-based application software and the data produced by the software.
Knowledge and understanding of business process concepts; includes process mapping, process design, and performance measurement.
Understanding of business complexity and project interdependencies.
Intellectual curiosity and the ability to question thought partners across functional areas.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Strong understanding of basic system engineering, object-oriented design, information risk and security guidelines, and architecture standards.
In depth understanding of the various software development lifecycles (e.g. Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
Ability to quickly troubleshoot problems that may arise in work products.
Understanding of modeling techniques, such as unified modeling language, etc.
Ability to initiate, nurture and maintain relationships with individuals in business and IT.
