Corteva Agriscience Regulatory Product Strategy Intern - 3 Month (Johnston, IA) in Johnston, Iowa

Description

Corteva Agriscience is looking for an intern. This is an outstanding opportunity to join the world-class leader in agricultural application of CRISPR technology to learn about science and policy advocacy for genome editing. Bring your passion for science and innovation to help advance this Nobel Prize- winning technology to benefit farmers and consumers in the U.S. and around the globe! You will be part of the Regulatory & Stewardship team, responsible for synthesizing scientific information about agricultural applications of CRISPR genome editing. You will develop explanatory materials that can be used with various audiences, in particular those with no formal science background.

Responsibilities - What You'll Do:

  • You will collaborate with External Affairs colleagues and contribute with independent projects to facilitate consumer understanding of various breeding technologies and Corteva transparency.

  • You will learn about regulatory policies and other external drivers that can impact adoption of genome-edited crops. You will interact with Regulatory and External Affairs colleagues and help develop briefs and summary materials for internal and external audiences.

  • At the end of the internship, you will be asked to make a presentation about your project accomplishments.

Qualifications

Qualifications - What You'll Bring:

  • Minimum 2 years of college education, with the focus on molecular biology, biotechnology, biochemistry, plant breeding or related disciplines.

  • Current cumulative GPA of 3.5.

  • Strong interest in scientific writing; enrollment in the relevant college course is a plus.

  • Strong organizational, communication and presentation skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
