Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Master's level psychology student to intern at ChildServe! What You'll Do
Research topics of interest for families/patients and staff.
Use research to maintain parent handouts and develop presentations.
Observe assessment and therapeutic sessions within mental health to identify treatment providers for psychological disorders and the training required for each.
Present cases orally and in writing.
Conduct intake interviews with supervision.
Conduct intellectual assessment with supervision.
What You'll Need
Enrollment in a Master’s in Psychology program
Ability to work independently with basic verbal and written instructional guidance from others.
Ability to maintain positive working relationships and demonstrate sensitivity to, and respect for, a diverse population.
Must exercise confidentiality regarding the affairs of clients, staff, their families, and ChildServe.
Computer skills including Microsoft Office, and ability to proficiently learn new software programs.
Ability to interpret and follow applicable policies, procedures, and regulations.
Ability to communicate in English effectively for understanding, in writing and verbally.
Schedule/Time Frame
Schedule negotiable, some morning times strongly recommended
Time frame negotiable, one semester to one academic year
This internship is an unpaid opportunity. The role can be offered to those applicants seeking course credit and/or specific college internship requirements.
