Job Title: Content Marketing Intern

General Function:
Seeking a detail-oriented intern passionate about digital media, content, and retail. This role involves working closely with content on Hy-Vee.com, such as guides, recipes, how-tos, and shoppable videos. Responsibilities include coordinating content updates, digital asset uploads, product management, and website audits. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to gain insights into the content and retail landscape.
Candidates must be located within a reasonable driving distance of the Des Moines metropolitan area (Grimes), as this position operates on a hybrid work model.
Reporting Relations:
Accountable and Reports to the Director of Content
Direct Reports: None
Duties and Responsibilities:
Contribute to content calendars and schedules.
Assist in uploading shoppable videos and creating shoppable product lists for Hy-Vee.com.
Assist in managing content uploads to appropriate digital platforms.
Assist in the creation and optimization of content marketing.
Conduct competitive research, trends, and keyword performance, compile best-in-class content from competitors, research best practices and industry insights, and proactively recommend best practices.
Assist with analysis of campaign performance to optimize and report overall results utilizing various reporting software, including Google Analytics.
Assist in uploading content to the Digital Asset Management (DAM) program, including cataloging content.
Participate in content strategy discussions.
Participate in creating brand and marketing campaigns, website audits, and brand governance.
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and undertake various administrative duties.
Collaborate with team members to ensure projects stay on track.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in utilizing and managing Monday.com (software project management tool).
Additional duties may include product sourcing, administrative tasks, and other responsibilities to support the team.
Prepare various reports as assigned.
Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Worker Characteristics:
Must be comfortable working in web-based software systems (i.e., CMS systems), email tools, basic desktop publishing applications (Microsoft Office, etc.), and a strong understanding of digital media.
Fluency in web analytics tools (Google Analytics).
Excellent organizational, time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable working independently with minimum supervision and self-motivation.
Education and Experience:
Junior or Senior majoring in digital media, journalism, marketing, or related field, taking relevant coursework or completing a final university degree.
Physical Requirements:
Visual requirements include seeing detail at close and far range with or without correction.
Must be physically able to perform light work: occasionally lifting or carrying objects and sometimes standing or walking.
Must perform the following physical activities: stooping, kneeling, reaching, handling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
Working Conditions:
The duties of this position are performed in a general office setting and a work-from-home environment.
