ITW Pro Brands has 3 manufacturing facilities (Olathe, KS, Tucker, GA and DeWitt, IA) and a formulation lab in Carol Stream, IL and employs 250+ individuals.
ITW Pro Brands is looking for a Summer 2022 Mechanical Engineer Intern. As an Intern, you will perform a variety of production functions as it relates to the ITW Pro Brands Organization. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in an office environment and performing hands on work.
This position will be based in DeWitt, Iowa.
Typical Projects Include:
Obtaining mechanical engineering design and hands-on experience assembling and modifying world-class Accu-Lube equipment
Provide the product manager with information and cost on new and existing applicators and parts to determine prices and communicate to distributors
Becoming familiar with business processes and product improvement skills and use those tools to innovate, reduce costs, optimize processes, and develop solutions for our customers
Work with the product manager and sales team to develop products for new market areas and find facilities to test new products
Monitor current stock levels while remaining aware of upcoming orders to ensure sufficient stock
Actively pursuing a Bachelors degree in Engineering from an accredited university
Mechanical skills: knowledge of mechanical and physical
Innovation: Ability to work alone and with others to develop new concepts and solve problems
Troubleshooting: have a methodical and logical mindset through process. Ability to perform root cause analysis.
Work ethic: willingness to put forth the effort required to get the job done, while upholding high ethical standards. Work well with others in a team environment.
