Job Description

Quantum computing has the potential to transform the industry by achieving large computational speed-ups over classical computers. Advances in quantum technologies have propelled quantum computing from a theoretical physics field to experimental physics and engineering.

Come join us as part of an Intel team exploring quantum computing hardware, specifically spin qubits in silicon. We are looking for either theorists focused on the modeling of quantum circuits or experimentalists focused on building and characterizing spin qubit devices. You will also work with researchers across Intel to tap into the latest findings.

The internship will be located in Hillsboro, Oregon during the summer of 2023.

Qualifications

You must possess the below requirements to be initially considered for this position. Experience listed below would be obtained through relevant training and/or research experience.

Minimum Requirements:

Candidate must be pursuing a PhD in Physics and/or Engineering and/or Chemistry.

3+ years experience with the quantum computing devices from either the experimental, theoretical or device modeling perspective.

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
