Oracle Manufacturing and Distribution is seeking an experienced candidate to support the expansion and implementation of global operations services with domestic and international logistics, and freight/transportation supplier management.

Oracle Manufacturing and Distribution (M&D) is responsible for distribution of employee laptops, network and desktop hardware, software and marketing material to Oracle’s internal and external customers worldwide. M&D's mission is to continually deliver high-quality products, services and interactions, on time, to our customers.

The Role

The Operations, Logistics Analyst Intern will activities and procedures to meet compliance requirements for inbound and outbound distributions, Supplier Management, and support Supply Chain Operations. This role will work cross functionally with other Oracle Line of Businesses such as Global Trade Compliance, Procurement, Finance, HR, Legal, and the Global Oracle Manufacturing and Distribution Operations Teams. This role will support the establishment of global standards and procedures to create an efficient and compliant guideline for our global supply chain operations. This responsibility includes reviewing the current procedural structures, setting targets and goals for key initiatives, and creating key performance metrics for Oracle M&D Operations.

The primary focus is supporting Operations led activities, including global program implementation, forward and reverse logistics activities, and automation within the APEX platform used for order management, shipping & compliance documents, and shipment status tracking. This individual will be trained to be an area expert and expected to support the global and regional teams by consulting with the regional Operations management, planners, material specialists and suppliers/external manufacturers.

The ideal candidate will possess experience in domestic and international logistics, import/export compliance, and supplier management within a dynamic and fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, development, implementation and maintenance of operations distribution processes for new and existing M&D programs and services.

  • Research and implement local requirements for inbound and outbound distributions for M&D hubs in new countries

  • Evaluating regional locations and supply chain readiness to support new program releases

  • Implement local freight supplier accounts, procedures, and equipment needs for Operations Team

  • Manage Supplier Issues from issue log to root cause analysis

  • Manage decisions on impacts of supply chain or system disruptions and quality events and determines when escalation to management is appropriate

  • Ensure effective communication of business-related program issues between teams on-site at our Oracle locations and suppliers worldwide

  • Recommendations to management for analysis of in-house vs external program support for various global regions/countries/programs

Key Deliverables

  • Implementation of key compliance requirements for import/export activities

  • End-to-End process engineering and documentation of processes and procedures

  • Ongoing focus on simplifying and standardizing global processes and systems used across all our activities

  • BS degree in Business, or Operations

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedure after proper shadowing and training is provided. Attention to detail is critical. Relationship management and professional communication kills strongly desired. Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with management and possible clients desired.

Required Skills and education:

US Veteran transitioning from active service or Military Spouse new to corporate experience preferred

  • 2+ years relevant experience in Logistics, Import/Export Compliance, Supply Chain Operations or managing cross functional projects

  • Proven track record supporting cross functional geographically diverse teams

  • Understanding of technical product distribution requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

  • Knowledge and understanding of planning and forecasting is a plus

  • Self-motivated with the ability to deal with a high degree of ambiguity in a fast-paced environment

  • Effective leadership and team working skills

  • Proficient with office desktop productivity tools (spreadsheets, presentations)

  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work independently on complex assignments

Hiring Range: from $18.99 to $53.00 per hour; from $39,500 to $110,240 per annum.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
