Responsibilities

Principal is seeking an intern to join the Operational Risk team for Summer 2019 to assist the team with developing operational efficiencies. The intern will be directly involved in the importance of building excellence in risk management by minimizing threats and maximizing potential. Hands-on experiences may involve participation in special projects, including improvement of risk process efficiencies and assistance with risk system enhancement implementation. The intern will be provided the opportunity to do meaningful work that impacts our bottom line and will learn about best practices in risk management.Key tasks:

  • Gather and populate key risk data

  • Analyze risk reports

  • Identify and document risk trends

  • Provide insight on areas of opportunity for system improvements

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in risk management, business, finance, economics, analytics, human resources, organizational development, communications, or related program required

  • 3.0 preferred GPA required

  • Good technical aptitude and eagerness to learn new systems preferred

  • Co-curricular involvement on campus or in your community strongly preferred

Desired Skills:

  • High degree of accuracy and strong attention to detail

  • Analytical mindset

  • Self-starter with ability to work independently

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Organized

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

  • Familiarity with Six Sigma practices a plus
