Corteva Agriscience has an exciting opportunity to join our Professional Internship Program as an IT - Network Engineer Intern for the summer of 2024. 

Corteva IT is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Network Engineer Intern to join our team. As a Network Engineer Intern, you will work closely with our network engineering team to support and maintain our network infrastructure. This internship offers a fantastic opportunity to gain practical experience in network design, troubleshooting, and optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Network Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Assist in monitoring the health and performance of our network infrastructure. Identify and troubleshoot network issues, working with senior engineers to resolve them promptly.

  2. Network Configuration: Learn to configure and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls. Assist in ensuring that network configurations are secure and optimized for performance.

  3. Documentation: Help maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, inventory, and configuration records. Ensure that all changes to the network are accurately documented.

  4. Collaboration: Collaborate with senior network engineers to plan and execute network projects, such as network upgrades and expansions.

  5. Performance Optimization: Learn to analyze network performance and assist in implementing optimizations to enhance network efficiency.

  6. Research and Learning: Stay up to date with the latest networking technologies and best practices. Take the initiative to expand your knowledge and skills in networking.

Qualifications

  1. Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  2. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.000 on a 4.000 scale at current university but seeking cumulative GPA of 3.500 or above.

  3. Strong interest in networking and a desire to learn and grow in this field.

  4. Basic understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies.

  5. Familiarity with network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls are a plus.

  6. Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  7. Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  8. Ability to work independently and take initiative.

  9. Any relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA) would be a plus but are not required.

Duration: 10 weeks (Mid-May starts)
