Corteva Agriscience IOCS End User Computing Intern in Des Moines, Iowa

Description

As an IT End User Computing Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in managing and improving IT services for end-users, with a strong focus on ITIL principles and process enhancement. You will work closely with our IT team and contribute to the optimization of IT services to ensure a seamless and efficient end-user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ITIL Framework: Gain an understanding of the ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) framework and its application within our organization. Assist in implementing ITIL best practices to improve service delivery and support processes.

  • End-User Support: Provide support to end-users by troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and applications.

  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with the IT team to identify areas for process improvement and efficiency gains. Propose and document process enhancements, workflows, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

  • Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for IT processes, procedures, and knowledge base articles to facilitate better support and knowledge sharing within the team.

  • IT Service Management (ITSM): Assist in the implementation and management of ITSM tools and processes to streamline incident, problem, change, and request management.

  • User Training: Assist in organizing and delivering training sessions or materials to end-users to enhance their understanding of IT tools and processes.

  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand end-user needs and align IT services accordingly.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Strong interest in IT service management, ITIL, and process improvement.

  • Basic knowledge of IT infrastructure, hardware, and software.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently when required.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
