If you’re interested in helping contribute to our security initiatives, this program is for you! We have internships available in various Information Security roles including:
Incident Response: Serve as the first line of defense against cyber-attacks by monitoring and analyzing potential threats to Principal’s network. Work includes monitoring network traffic, malware investigation and assisting with implementing new technologies.
Application Penetration Testing: Work with a team of white hat hackers to help business areas identify and remediate vulnerabilities in their software through the process of penetration testing their applications to find vulnerabilities.
Risk Analysis: Evaluate the risk of new applications coming into the Principal to ensure we are accepting appropriate risk for our business. You will work with business area application owners to ask and answer questions about security risks.
Business Area Secure Software: Work closely with business area IT agile teams and be a liaison to the corporate Information Security area. As a business area secure software team member, you will help solve security problems for the business area you are working in.
Education and Awareness: Security education and awareness is vital to Principal’s ability to stay secure. Work with Information Security on programs to educate and bring awareness about security needs across the company, such as working on phishing campaigns, display boards, job aids, and CBT's.

You’ll work on real projects with a range of team members, including other interns through senior level management. We'll place you in a role customized to your expertise and interests, all while working in a collaborative Agile team environment. Current enrollment in an accredited program of study related to IT, engineering, or other correlated areas (ex: computer science, MIS, engineering, etc.)
Minimum 2.8 Cumulative GPA
Co-curricular Involvement on campus or in your community
Exceptional communication and organizational skills
Strong work ethic
A passion for technology and solving problems
Intermediate Level Programming Skills (Java, .Net, etc.)
Leadership positions or initiative within student or community organizations
