What you'll do

As a Financial Analyst III on our Principal International Actuarial team, you’ll work with our Member Companies to meet local and corporate financial and risk analysis needs. You’ll gain exposure to many of our international products and markets along with partnering with our investment risk management and other team projects as well.

Here are few examples of the kinds of things you’ll do:

  • Use modeling tools to measure the impacts of stressing key assumptions in long-term forecasts for multiple businesses.

  • Calculate amortization of deferred contract costs for our Mexican pension business, which involves manipulating and analyzing a large amount of data in R.

  • Work with the Risk Team to collect, review and communicate investment risk metrics from the local Member Companies.

  • Bachelor's degree in math, actuarial science, finance or equivalent experience required.

  • 3+ years of relevant experience.

  • Demonstrates the ability to accept and adapt to a changing environment.

  • Knowledge of spreadsheet and database or similar PC software packages is required.

  • Aptitude in programming with R is highly preferred.

  • Bi-lingual skills in Mandarin or Spanish are beneficial.

  • This position may be subject to SEC restrictions on personal political contributions.

A successful candidate will have:

  • Must have strong problem solving, leadership and analytical skills.

  • Good oral and written communication skills required.

  • Must have good interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills.
