What you'll do
Principal has an exciting internship opportunity with our corporate analytics team!
You will work collaboratively with experienced business leaders and data scientists to enhance business capabilities by utilizing machine learning, statistical inference, and data manipulation skills. We need someone who is curious, self-motivated, and result-oriented. You'll be responsible for a variety of tasks including (but not limited to):
Building analytic systems & frameworks to solve recurring business challenges
Identifying and mining data sources
Presenting findings to a range of stakeholders

Strong collaboration skills
Belief in the value of reproducible research and open data science
Currently pursuing or completed a graduate degree program in STEM field
Knowledge of a range of statistical and machine learning techniques.
A 3.0 cumulative GPA or better
Exposure to one or more of the following: Python, R, SQL
Exposure to data visualization concepts & best practices
Proficiency with one or more of the following: NLP, time series, propensity & uplift modelling, machine learning frameworks, graph algorithms
Exposure or interest in the following subjects: Customer Experience/Voice of Customer, Distribution Analytics, Cross-sell/Up-sell products
This is the paid full-time internship located in Des Moines, IA for the summer months of 2020. (Around 40 hours/week during business hours)
