Principal Customer Experience Insights Intern (Summer 2022) in Des Moines, Iowa

As the CX Customer Insights Intern, you’ll be dedicated to understanding the customer experience using multiple data sources across audience, various channels, journeys, and key moments of truth. You’ll be responsible for driving actionable, customer insights that improve customer experiences. In addition, you’ll identify and trend causes that enable customer satisfaction improvement measured by Customer Experience, Financial, and Operational Metrics.

Other types of things you’ll do:

  • Perform moderate to complex statistical analyses on quantitative data sets, utilizing multivariate techniques such as correlation analysis, multiple regression, factor analysis, cluster analysis and others.

  • Synthesize quantitative and qualitative data to identify key customer insights and provide recommendations to stimulate customer experience improvement action and optimization.

  • Ensure customer survey data, feedback system architecture and reporting/dashboards are current, accurate and structured in a meaningful manner.

  • Leverage existing VOC processes and enhance performance dashboards to track our progress along the customer journey.

  • Implement Medallia or other tools to capture, analyze and report customer feedback.

  • Prepare custom, ad hoc reports which integrate insights from multiple sources to key stakeholders.

  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Working toward or having completed a bachelor’s degree in business, data science, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, social science or other relevant area.

  • Exposure to Customer Experience and/or Data Analytics through coursework, previous internship, etc…

  • 3.0+ cumulative GPA or above

  • Involvement in student organizations on respective campus or within the community

  • Experience with data visualization and tooling (Power BI, Tableau, etc…) with the ability to enable the communication of customer insights to a non-technical audience

  • Experience with Python, R or similar

Location

This internship can be located either at our corporate headquarters in Des Moines, IA or remote per your preference and business need.
