Communications Intern Employee Responsibilities:
Collaborate with designers, product marketers, sales professionals, external influencers, and industry experts and leaders to produce content that meets the needs of both key stakeholders and diverse external audiences.
Create, edit, and maintain consistent, relevant content that promotes engagement, increases subscriptions, generates awareness, and/or meets other important metrics (examples include (infographics, guides, messaging templates, etc.).
Support the development and implementation of integrated marketing communications involving email marketing, press releases, newsroom stories, webinars, digital and print advertising, social media, and other marketing projects.
Assist with website and advertising content execution, and assess performance analytics.
Assist with client survey communications, results evaluation, and illustrative presentations.
Track key metrics (engagement, ROI, quality) related to your communications projects.
Other duties as assigned.
The Ideal Candidate would possess:
Rigorous intellectual curiosity (at Eurofins we learn something new every day. Really.)
Ability to independently research subject matter and translate into various content pieces
Meticulous attention to detail and quality control measures, including consistent brand voice, industry research and adherence to brand and style guide conventions
Ability to conceive and write valuable, original content that requires minimal editorial corrections/oversight
Superior proofreading and copyediting abilities
A dual-minded approach: You’re highly creative and an excellent communicator but can also be process-driven and rely on data to make decisions
Computer skills including standard office software (MS Word, Excel, PPtx)
Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite, marketing automation platforms (such as Act-on, Marketo, or MailChimp), basic CMS editors (like WordPress, Umbraco, or Drupal) a plus
- Aptitude for working in a fast-paced team environment
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
Social media facilitation/execution experience
Undergraduate (sophomore / junior / senior) level pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, public relations, advertising, English, or other degrees that build strong writing and multimedia skills.
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
Position is up to 20 hours a week during school sessions. We are seeking a candidate to start as soon as possible. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Des Moines, Iowa are encouraged to apply.
