What You’ll Do as a Communication Specialist Intern:

  • Support the delivery of a clear and impactful communications strategy for Oracle SaaS products and SaaS customer experience

  • Support writing and content creation, including video-editing, content production, copywriting and editing

  • Build talking points, speeches, proactive and reactive lines, and briefing notes for key collaborators and executives

  • Build content across a variety of formats—including blogs, website copy, social media posts and webinar scripts

  • Ensuring consistency in messaging across all internal and external content platforms and making sure that messaging aligns with the latest Oracle guidelines

  • Engage collaborators across the business to seek inputs to narratives, proof points and key messages and align on their delivery

  • Work in close collaboration with the wider Communications and Brand team to develop and activate critical communications

  • Advise colleagues in the function and across the matrix on communications issues

  • Embrace storytelling and creative communications to educate and excite internal and external constituents.

  • Develop and report metrics and KPIs to assess campaign success to inform future technology and applications campaigns

Responsibilities

What You’ll Bring (Objective Minimum Qualifications):

To be considered for a Communications Specialist Intern position, you must have the Objective Minimum Qualifications (OMQs) below. Please ensure that your application clearly indicates that you meet these OMQs, either on your resume and/or by uploading additional documents such as a transcript.

  • Will be enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Computer Science, Business, Marketing or an equivalent field during the 2023-2024 school year.

  • Have completed at least your junior year towards your undergraduate degree, or higher, by summer 2023.

  • Have experience in video-editing, content production, copywriting and editing

  • Have a solid understanding of project management principles

  • Possess working knowledge of MS Office

  • Have excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills

  • Possess outstanding organizational and planning abilities

  • Have expertise in building and nurturing relationships with key internal/external collaborators and cross-functional communications

  • Have a basic understanding of software development processes

  • Reside in the United States and/or attend a university in the US.

  • Authorized to work in the US in 2023.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Confirmed experience as communications specialist

  • Experience in web design

  • Understanding of SaaS product or SaaS customer experience

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated location(s)

California Pay Range: from $21.15 to $41.15 per hour; from $44,000 to $85,600 per annum.

Colorado Pay Range: from $19.95 to $37.07 per hour; from $41,500 to $77,100 per annum.

New York City Pay Range: from $19.95 to $39.13 per hour; from $41,500 to $81,400 per annum.

Washington Pay Range: from $22.31 to $39.13 per hour; from $46,400 to $81,400 per annum.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience and market conditions, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
