About Our Internship Program

We are currently seeking motivated, self-driven students for the Summer 2022 Internship Program located at our STANLEY Infrastructure. Selected students will participate in a meaningful and challenging 10-week summer internship that will allow each intern to have exposure to different facets of the STANLEY Infrastructure business and receive critical business skills and career and personal development training. Interns will work on a wide variety of tasks and projects within a cross-functional team of professionals and get exposure to leaders within the business.

Who You Are

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Degree or course of study in Environmental, OHS preferred.

• Basic knowledge of OSHA general industry Safety and Health regulations.

• Experience and success in writing and organizing documentation and recordkeeping.

• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, internet research and other systems as needed (ie. Corporate reporting site, training tacking systems etc.)

• Effective writing, presentation, and communication skills.

• Strong project management skills, including ability to work independently and as part of a time, while meeting deadlines.

• Strong interest in Environmental Health and Safety in manufacturing environments.

• Ability to work in a team-based collaborative environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to sit for long periods of time, bend, stretch, stoop, stand and reach as necessary.

• Ability to speak, hear & see clearly.

What You’ll Do

EHS Intern supports the Environmental, Health and Safety programs and culture of the organization. The successful candidate will support the site EHS Manager and other site leadership with EHS regulatory compliance through assisting in the creation and maintenance of organized systems and documentation.

• Assist in the creation/update of detailed documentation for various Environmental Health and Safety programs and policies including: Contractor Safety, Behavior Based Observations, LOTO, Confined Space and various other EHS related topics.

• Assist in tracking all site related incidents including injuries, first aid, near miss and injury free events (unsafe condition/unsafe act)

• Support Safety committee teams

• Assist in EHS training, recordkeeping, and workplace audit/inspections.

• Assist with any EHS related project that may occur during term of position.
