Responsible for the assistance of determining and developing production processes for manufacturing operations. Specifically, to evaluate existing processes and to configure manufacturing systems to reduce cost, improve safety and sustainability, and develop best practices within the production process.
• Under the direction of team leader, utilize judgment in performance of duties in conjunction with company policies, procedures and processes including design, planning and development • Assist in the development of processing plans, methods, design, materials handling, manpower requirements, cost analysis and other areas as appropriate • Analyze and organize production operations, routings and sequences. • Assist in collecting, recording and transcribing of data. • Investigate manufacturing difficulties and determine corrective procedures. • Assist with various related engineering functions, e.g., design, standardization of parts, costs reduction and quality control. • Develop new processes for new or improved products. • Work closely with product design engineers to refine part geometrics to improve process efficiency.
• Pursuing a 4-year Degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering while in sophomore year or higher • Some exposure to CAD/CAM, Inventor preferred • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment • Strong verbal and written communication skills • High level of organizational skills and creative problem solving skills • Strong computer skills (MS Office) with an ability to learn new systems and tools • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
