This position is for an Internship for the Summer of 2022 for an Industrial Engineer. This role will be responsible for gathering and analyzing data, implement new or modified plans and conducts other varied facilities tasks. Responsible for modifications to procedures to enhance Facilities team performance. Will work directly with Facilities Engineer.
Gathers and reviews data concerning facility or equipment specifications and organization or government restrictions to ensure consistency in the documentation of the relevant records.
Inspects and reviews projects to evaluate compliance with building and safety codes, or other regulations.
Participates in prebuilding assessments, such as conceptual cost estimating, rough order of magnitude estimating, feasibility, or energy efficiency, environmental, and sustainability assessments.
Participates in planning and scheduling facilities maintenance and repair activities to ensure proper functioning of facilities.
Assesses and evaluates the physical space requirements of the organization and recommends plans to meet needs.
Gathers and reviews data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibility.
Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs.
Ensures proper functioning of facilities through ongoing inspection and maintenance.
Conducts machine inventories and arranges disposal of obsolete or no-longer-required equipment.
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Experience in AutoCAD is preferred.
Microsoft Office experience in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook & Teams is preferred.
