Raytheon Technologies Systems Engineer SEPP Intern (Summer 2022) in Cedar Rapids, Iowa
The Collins Aerospace Summer Engineering Project Program (SEPP) is our elite summer program that has been around since 1995. This program aligns projects from various directorates that support research and partnerships on campus. During the summer each project is aligned with a technical mentor and a defined project plan with milestones. At the end of the summer session, SEPP interns will be provided the opportunity to present their work to leaders and technical fellows across the business as well as creating a booth for a hands-on experience at the SEPP Fair.
The Pilot Activity Monitoring project will use various sensors in a flight deck environment to ensure the pilot is conscious and is attentive to the flight duties. For this project students will work with participants to collect data, analyze the data, and refine methods that can be used to ensure pilot engagement. The req is open to both undergraduate and graduate level interns.
Facilitate data collection studies in a flight deck environment
Manage data collection and storage
Analyze data using statistical and AI/ML methods
Design/refine pilot engagement strategies
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder
Be interested in or have experience with concepts of human factors and human physiology
Be interested in or have experience with the design of experiments
Be interested in or have experience with statistical methods, data analysis including AI/ML
Be interested in or have experience with eye tracking
Be interested in or have experience with aircraft flight decks and instrumentation
