This position is for a Manufacturing Engineer Co-op at the Cedar Rapids, IA facility supporting the site. If selected, the employee will become familiar with Collins Aerospace products, manufacturing objectives, along with state-of-the-art manufacturing techniques by working closely with senior engineers on automation and process improvement projects for cost reduction. This position is full-time, Monday-Friday, and will run January to August; it is only eligible for current students with a graduation date past August 2024.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assists with preparing quality related items and documentation to ensure that established quality standards are met.

• Gains knowledge of the sequencing of work such as build and delivery, to ensure smooth operations and optimal use of resources.

• Collaborate in compiling information on cell performance and productivity so that manufacturing performance can be analyzed.

• Research, review and test techniques for efficiency and planning

• Help identify operational issues by studying functional and performance systems

  Basic Qualifications:

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
