Alliant Energy is recruiting for interns within our Gas Engineering, Planning, and Distribution Engineering Departments, among others.Internships may be located at either our field or our corporate offices. Some of the projects you could potentially be involved in as an Engineering Intern are as follows:Working with engineers and managers on projects involving regulatory agency codes and gas distribution equipment in the fieldSupporting the Project Construction group in the following areas: mechanical/electrical systems, testing and data collection, inspections and structural systemsIn cooperation with engineering, project management, and field personnel, researching, scoping, designing, and supporting gas construction projectsLearning the basics of gas engineering, doing field visits, making preliminary designs for projects, using engineering tools such as GIS or hydraulic modeling tools, and doing special projects as assignedApplying to this requisition will put you into consideration for all Wisconsin and Iowa Engineering Internships (aside from Mechanical, Electrical and Chemical openings) throughout Alliant Energy.
