Raytheon Technologies Electrical Engineering co-op (Spring/Summer 2023)- (onsite) in Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Position Overview:

Become part of our growing Avionics FPGA/ASIC team and participate in the development of new digital solutions. This position is for a motivated Electrical or Computer Engineering student that will be involved in the design, implementation, verification and integration of a wide variety of high-performance digital systems that incorporate FPGAs and ASICs into a product solution. As a Co-op in this organization, you will be learning to apply best practice design and verification methodologies supporting our next generation of Avionics Products.

Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. Regardless of your role type, collaboration and innovation are critical to our business and all employees will have access to digital tools so they can work with colleagues around the world – and access to Collins sites when their work requires in-person meetings.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to FPGA/ASIC digital design and/or verification tasks using inspection, analysis, simulation, and test methods.

  • May create UVM constrained random environments using SystemVerilog.

  • May Create device placement and timing constraints.

  • May Perform device synthesis, place and route.

  • May Perform static timing analysis, linting analysis, and clock-domain-crossing analysis.

  • Creation of DO-254 DAL-A certification artifacts for Airborne Electronic Hardware (AEH).

  • Participate in peer reviews throughout product lifecycle.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident "Green Card" holder
