Raytheon Technologies Electrical Engineer Co-op (Summer/Fall 2022) in Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Position Overview

This position is for an engineering Co-op Student majoring in Electrical Engineering with interests in hardware design/support for the Summer and Fall 2022 Sessions (June-December). This position provides the opportunity for the student to broaden their background with a practical approach to engineering. The primary goal for the student is to merge their theoretical knowledge gained in school with practical engineering applications. Our team is responsible for hardware design support and development of digital and analog circuitry for embedded systems utilizing Multicore Processors, memory devices, FPGAs, Networking Components, high speed interfaces and analog devices for Commercial Avionics. This exciting opportunity will allow the candidate to work in our growing team of engineers supporting and designing state-of-the-art, industry-leading multicore processing for Graphics Generation, Displays. Our team designs and supports the hardware for Network Switches, Display Processing, Multi-module Cabinet (IMA) and Communication Management products.

Primary Responsibilities:

The types of responsibilities include assisting Senior Electrical Engineers in the design, development, support and documentation associated with both digital and analog circuitry. This position offers the opportunity to expand the student's knowledge and skills of all phases of electrical hardware design, including requirements capture, design, layout, test/verification, integration, and factory transition. Specific types of engineering-related activities include analog and digital electronics design and test, component analysis and troubleshooting of electronic circuitry. This position is intended to include design engineering and factory, field, and customer related support to achieve a healthy understanding of the product lifecycle.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
