Maintain positive communications with internal staff with knowledge of CBE benefits and other areas the Human Resources department supports. Play a vital role as a member of CBE's Human Resources team.less than/p>less thanp>less than/p>less thanp>less thanstrong>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESless than/strong>less than/p>less thanp>Support person for the Human Resources (HR) department which will consist of the following duties and responsibilities:less than/p>less thanul>less thanli>Create and maintain the personnel, confidentiality and payroll files on all newly hired and terminated employees.less than/li>less than/ul>less thanul>less thanli>Scan all documents per the Human Resource Filing-Scanning System SOP.less than/li>less than/ul>less thanul>less thanli>Conduct reference checks and employment verifications for prospective employees that conform to our background check procedures.less than/li>less than/ul>less thanul>less thanli>Assist with and access employment credit reports (if applicable) and be able to interpret the report for conformity to our credit check / background check procedures.less than/li>less than/ul>less thanul>less thanli>Assist with, conduct and interpret criminal checks for prospective employees that conform to our background check procedures.less than/li>less than/ul>less thanul>less thanli>Submit I-9 Form verification through the E-verify system and document confirmationless than/li>less than/ul>less thanul>less thanli>Support entire HR team with tasks or projects including: anniversary awards, attendance awards, employee perks cards, orientation and benefits packets, semi-annual shredding of I-9s of terminated employeesless than/li>less than/ul>less thanul>less thanli>Help with client audits, including pulling or making copies of necessary documentsless than/li>less than/ul>less thanul>less thanli>Make copies of employee personnel files upon request per a subpoenaless than/li>less than/ul>less thanul>less thanli>Ensure that new employee paperwork is accurate and up to date.less than/li>less than/ul>less thanul>less thanli>Knowledgeable about the benefits that CBE offers to our employees and assisting employees with related questions.less than/li>less than/ul>less thanul>less thanli>Gain a clear understanding of all CBE corporate policies and procedures. Review and understand all HR Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's.)less than/li>less than/ul>less thanul>less thanli>Assist with job fairs that CBE holds on site and if needed, participate in offsite job fairs.less than/li>less than/ul>less thanul>less thanli>Support the badge software that allows employees access to our building and offices, by assisting with issuing temporary badges.less than/li>less than/ul>less thanul>less thanli>Have a basic understanding of HR laws and regulations to ensure CBE is adhering to appropriate policies and procedures.less than/li>less than/ul>less thanul>less thanli>Maintain accuracy in all handouts and forms that are distributed to CBE employees and keep them up to date.less than/li>less than/ul>less thanul>less thanli>Assist in planning and preparing for employee related events, such as company picnics, employee benefit trainings, annual trainings, etc.less than/li>less than/ul>less thanul>less thanli>Maintain confidentiality as appropriate in working with employees on personnel-related matters.
