The Engineering team at Viking Pump Inc., a Unit of IDEX Corporation, is seeking a Co-Op student to work within our Engineering Department in Cedar Falls, Iowa. This student will participate in design projects to support Growth & Innovation and Global Distribution Business Segments.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participate on cross-functional project teams.

• Support New Product Development, Value Engineering and Derivative Product projects.

• Create and Update models and drawings in SolidWorks.

• Maintain part numbers and Bills of Material in ERP system.

• Other engineering projects as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, ManufacturingEngineering Technology, Industrial Technology or related Engineering field.

• Minimum GPA of 3.0 in Major.

OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENT S:

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

• Proficient with Microsoft Office products including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

• CAD training w/SolidWorks experience a plus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENT:

• Ability to move within office and manufacturing complex, write by hand and keyboard, and perform general office functions.

• Visual acuity needed for close detail work and computer use.

• General manufacturing, warehouse and office environment.
