Community Based Services Intern (Internship)

Community Based Services (Respite/SCL/Day Habilitation) Ames, Iowa



The Community Based Services Intern will provide project and administrative support to community-based services. Job responsibilities are flexible and will be determined based on specified interests, major, level of education, and course criteria. We are looking for team-oriented individuals who are driven to make a difference. In the internship position, you will have the ability to work in a variety of different areas and on significant projects. What You Can Learn

Job responsibilities are flexible and will be determined based no specified interest, major, level of education and course criteria. The ideal candidate will be pursuing a degree in social sciences, healthcare, non-profit management or other related discipline.

    What You'll Need

  • Ability to be a self-starter.

  • Ability to use effective communication skills.

  • Flexibility, Creativity and Organization skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office skills

  • An interest in non-profit management, community development, and health and human services

  • The ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.

    Schedule: 10-20 hours/week, during standard business hours. Can be flexible with class and other work schedules. Interns needed for summer and fall semesters.

    Non-paid opportunity. This role can be offered to those applicants seeking course credit and/or specific college internship requirements.
