A day in the Life of a Well-Being Intern with WesleyLife:

  • Support the well-being team in implementation of annual well-being plan for residents and team members, including:

  • Shadowing and supporting regular fitness classes for residents or team members to develop skills and comfort teaching classes.

  • Implement well-being events for team members or residents, such as education presentations, lunch and learns or experiential events. Develop promotional plan and materials to encourage attendance.

  • Create educational materials to promote various health topics for WesleyLife residents and team members.

  • Contribute to planning future well-being programs and innovations with a focus on strong outcomes to support those we serve.

  • Collaborate with wellness team members across the WesleyLife organization. Participate in wellness team meetings.

  • Attend and support the WesleyLife Culture Club meetings that support a positive culture among team members.

  • Identify and complete a specialty project of your choosing during the internship.

  • Learn about the business impact of wellness programs in regards to recruitment, retention and employee productivity. Gain a broad understanding of the role of wellness within an organization to drive health and wellness organizationally and culturally

Required

  • Currently enrolled in a health or well-being program with a college or university

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with ability to communicate with diverse populations one-on-one or in a small/large group setting
