This position is located in Cedar Rapids, IA. A comprehensive relocation package is available for qualified candidates.

Are you looking for an exciting job opportunity where you will create the latest cutting edge avionics designs? Then you need to consider a role at Rockwell Collins within the Common Hardware Development Team where we are developing the next generation of military electronics for airborne platforms. On this team, you will be working on ruggedized electronic designs that span all phases of the hardware development lifecycle, from program pursuit and capture through factory transition and production support.

This position is for an engineering Co-op Student majoring in Electrical Engineering with interests in hardware development for the January through July 2018 session. Position requires student to work closely with engineers in the development and support of military avionics equipment (mission computers, control panels, etc.) used within military and commercial aircraft. Tasks may include requirements analysis and capture, hardware design, hardware integration and test, and/or process improvement activities. The selected candidate must be an enthusiastic self-starter willing to work closely with team members of various disciplines.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residence (Green Card) is required.

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.

  • Interest in design and troubleshooting digital electronic assemblies.

  • Experience and/or coursework in Oscilloscopes, Voltmeters, Power Supplies, or Function Generators.

  • Communicate effectively in meetings and in writing.

  • Participate and communicate effectively in a cross functional team.
